The surfactant used in the Cleanser is a low-sudsing derivative of sugar, and is blended in normal saline, so it is tissue-friendly. Benzalkonium Chloride is an effective anti-microbial, so the spray helps reduce bioburden in the wound. Finally, Vitale Wound Cleanser/Spray contains zinc to help in the healing process. The Spray is designed to leave the wound bed moist when cleansing is completed.
